Last night was great success at the In-Shape Customer Appreciation Open House event at the McHenry North Health Club located in Modesto, California. Bellissima Bain was invited to be a vendor alongside a handful of health & fitness businesses to display, feature and speak about our products.
Let me begin by sharing that this is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and being a woman whom is diagnosed with advance breast cancer, I was extremely excited to be here during this particular event and explain how my business was created by having breast cancer.
In-Shape Heath Clubs go out of their way every October to support and share stories from their families and members who are battling, gone and survived breast cancer. I noticed that every In-Shape employee is wearing their "I fight cancer for" t-shirts and I am immediately overwhelmed with gratitude.
I met and spoke with many employees, members, corporate staff, business owners and people of all ages. I must admit I was the oddball at this event being that my genre is bath & beauty.
I handed out a Sample Favor Bag to the first 60 people who visited my table. Each favor bag contained a Petite Key Lime Pie Lip Scrub, 25% off coupon and business card. In addition, I collected numerous email signups. Bellissima Bain offers email ONLY specials from time to time along with giveaways and flash sales. One lucky email subscriber from tonight's event will win a large gift basket.
My table was a huge hit especially for the kids. Every time one passed by they asked how much my candies and sweets were. I take that as a huge compliment as the "candies" they were referring to were actually mini soaps.
I was most touched by the In-Shape family early during the event when a group of them came towards my table with a sign that read "I fight cancer for: Arlene" and would be honored to take a photo with me alongside my table and post to their social media page using the #hashtag #inshapefightscancer.
Immediately my face was overflowing with tears. I am so blessed to have received an amazing amount of support from so many people I have met on my breast cancer journey.
I wanted to thank the In-Shape family, my son Adam and grandbaby Avery for their support by coming out and daughter in-law Tiana and Mom for assisting me.
